Louisiana Surplus Line Association was founded in 1958 to promote communications, education and professionalism within the Louisiana surplus line community. Originally, only persons who held Louisiana surplus line licenses were eligible for membership in the Association. Since then the Association bylaws have been amended to permit persons or companies who are interested in or deal with surplus line business to join the Association. The Association's membership includes more than one hundred individuals and companies.
